Vitória history is deeply connected with the history of the last jewish gheto in Porto but there are many other elements of historical and social interest. Vitória is very deeply into the medieval art of Porto so its streets are so rich in terms of traditional trade and traces of a sort of recent and not so recent past.

Also some of the most known monuments but this side of Vitória is much behind that … there are secrets and stories hidden in places that most part of the population passes trough every day without knowing or noticing …
What you might find more about: where´s the old road connecting between Porto and Santiago, the Fearless General, the court of justice that used to be a … fish market, the bakeries square, what´s a “mamarracho”, the oldest café in the city that is not the oldest café in the city, the smallest house in Porto, where´s “Jardim de João Chagas” - the question that 99% of the locals will not know to answer, why Portugal entered on the I World War, among many other relevant aspects of Porto and Portugal history, culture, society and ecology.

SMT TT – Porto Traditional Trade
Porto is, since its very beginning, known as a city of trade and of traders. Its universe of traditional shops is very rich and unique, in spite of the fact that many of these unic places have been closing specially due to the city gentrification. This tour goes trought a relevant circuit where it´s possible to see some excellent examples of this traditional trade and Porto identity.

The Republican Revolt of the 31th of January, Special Edition Tour
The 31th of January was one of the most important events in the history of Porto. Therefore this will be a very special and unique tour based on this historical events and in many other curiosities and aspects related with it.

Slow Motion Tours
Slow Motion Tours developes alternative touristic tours and programms with the aim of providing a different way to get to know and get involved into the local realities. Our main focus is in allowing our participants to get to know the local reality in a deep and significant way, like in what related to social, ecological and cultural aspects.

Slow Motion Tours is an independent cultural project based on the development of alternative tourism and eco-social education.
