there are many other elements of historical and social interest.
Vitória is very deeply into the medieval art of Porto so its streets
are so rich in terms of traditional trade and traces of a sort of
recent and not so recent past.

Vitória is formed by what can be
considered as a quite significant part of the city heart. In this
area of Vitória you can find a very significant part of the city
traditional trade and shops. Also some of the most known monuments
but this side of Vitória is much behind that … there are secrets
and stories hidden in places that most part of the population passes
trough every day without knowing or noticing …
What you might find more about:
where´s the old road connecting between Porto and Santiago, the
Fearless General, the court of justice that used to be a … fish
market, the bakeries square, what´s a “mamarracho”, the oldest
café in the city that is not the oldest café in the city, the
smallest house in Porto, where´s “Jardim de João Chagas” - the
question that 99% of the locals will not know to answer, why Portugal
entered on the I World War, among many other relevant aspects of
Porto and Portugal history, culture, society and ecology.

it´s possible to see some excellent examples of this traditional
trade and Porto identity.
